in Treatment

The goal of fertility treatment is to maximize the opportunity for a live birth of a healthy singleton child, born at full-term. This is the safest and best outcome for both the mother and the baby. The term “in vitro”, from the Latin root meaning in glass. Yes, it is a process within egg cells are fertilized by sperm outside the body:in vitro (in a glass or test tube).IVF is one of major and effective treatments for infertility when other methods of assisted reproductive technology have failed. The stage of treatment involves hormonally controlling the ovulatory process, removing ova (eggs) from the woman's ovaries and allowing sperm fertilize them in a fluid medium. The fertilized egg (zygote) is then passed to the patient's uterus with the intent to establish a successful and healthy pregnancy.IVF is mainly used to beat female infertility which occurs due to problems of the fallopian tube; it may also help in male infertility, where there is deficiency in sperm quality.

IVF can help you to conceive if you have ovulation problems or blocked fallopian tubes or if your partner has a low sperm count, or if other methods of treatment have been unsuccessful. It takes about four to six weeks to complete one cycle of IVF treatment. You'll have to wait a few weeks for your eggs to mature and then you and your partner have to spend about half a day at your doctor's office or clinic having your eggs retrieved and fertilized. You'll need to approach your doctor again two to five days later to have them inserted into your uterus, but you'll be able to go home that same day itself. However this treatment has both advantages and disadvantages.
